I am a bilingual therapist with a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and have a specialization in Latino Mental Health. I have been in practice for 9 years, 3 of which encompassed clinical work at a private practice specialized in working with the LGBTQ+ community. I am currently a psychoanalytic candidate, working towards becoming a psychoanalyst at The Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute.

I approach my work with empathy, patience, warmth, and honesty. I collaborate with individuals ranging from ages 12 and up. Most of my patients look to work on breaking patterns that were formed in the past and are negatively impacting their present. In addition, I am motivated to work with people who have PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and are currently going through divorce.

When working with patients, I utilize a psychoanalytic lens. Meaning, we will look at the patterns that are standing in your way and where they began, so that we can understand and can begin to remove them. Furthermore, we will work together to uncover beliefs, behaviors, and ways of thinking that are not in your awareness but affect you. Lastly, we will use our relationship as a way to understand how you communicate and function in other relationships. The hope is to help you understand where you are getting stuck so you can then make better decisions for yourself.
