As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I understand that people are more than a diagnosis and that our communities and resources have just as much an impact on us as our closest social circles. I believe that communication and developing a deeper understanding of oneself, the family histories we carry, and the influences of society are essential tools in helping clients grow.

I use strategic questions to help clients gain insight into their lives and ask clients what they hope to achieve, and about the ideal lives they want to lead. This ensures that while clients can look at how the past and present impact them, they also have an aim for the future.

I am a master's degree graduate from Adler University and have completed Adler’s Certificate in Sex Therapy Training following the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) curriculum. I am currently working towards AASECT certification in sex therapy.

 

I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Illinois University. During my time there, I was a Research Assistant for the Science of BDSM Research Team. The team’s mission is to understand the dynamics and values of relationships and destigmatize the Kink community. I bring that experience forward as a couple’s therapist and as a sex therapist, with the philosophy that every relationship is unique, and no one size fits all when it comes to how we love others. I hope to help my clients break down shame when it comes to knowing themselves so that they may embrace themselves to
the fullest in all aspects of their lives.
