The Center for
Relational Wellness

Jasmine Lee
Clinical Intern
Pronouns: she/her/hers
Do you feel you know exactly what you’re feeling but have no idea how to say it to others? Or catch yourself overthinking the conversation again? Or get stuck in the same argument with your partner? Perhaps you know what you should do…and you just can’t do it? Maybe you just want someone to sit with you in the mess and help you figure out what comes next?
If this sounds familiar, then I think we may be a good fit. I believe in joining you in the therapeutic process; whether that means making sense of your past, grounding yourself into the present, or building practical tools for what’s ahead. I like to bring empathy, relatability, playful warmth, compassionate accountability, gentle directiveness, and a splash of humor into my work. My hope is to help you better understand, accept, or change patterns within yourself and those you are in relationship with.
My background across Chicago Public Schools, street dance and arts education nonprofits, community facilitation, and creative entrepreneurship have cultivated a culturally responsive and adaptable perspective. These experiences have shaped how I understand folks across the lifespan, including youth, adolescents, adults, and couples, within the complexity of their diverse identities and lived experiences.
As a street dancer and creative, I see art and movement as powerful tools for processing underlying emotions and deepening self-awareness to strengthen interpersonal connection, intimacy, and conflict resolution. My relational, systemic, and culturally responsive approach to support individuals and couples draws from emotionally focused therapy, expressive arts therapy, dance/movement therapy, play therapy, mindfulness techniques, and strength-based interventions. I believe deeply in the creative potential between the mind and body to nurture embodied connection in relationship to self and others.
I’m originally from Los Angeles, California (yes, I do miss the sunshine and warmth!) and moved to Chicago in 2022. I graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara and majored in Sociology and minored in Asian American Studies. I am a graduate clinical intern currently completing my Master’s in Couples and Family Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University.
